Testimonials

This is the easiest testimonial I can write. Since switching our car to Renewable Lubricant bio-based products, we have seen an increase in engine parts life – bearings, lash caps, rocker arms. We have seen an increase in parts life by an amazing 300%.

Our engine bearings – by far the most abused parts – last race after race. Our rear-end gears – same story. Our 3-speed Lenco transmission looks so good that Lenco technician, Matt Moore, says he would like to recommend all racers use Renewable Lubricant’s transmission oil.

We won our 7th World Championship totally lubricated with Renewable Lubricants. In 2000, we set a new world record in Rockingham, NC at 241.77 MPH. Besides the performance end, it is very, very safe to use. The flash point of Renewable Lubricant’s oil is much higher than that of petroleum based oils. This gives me much peace of mind in the event of a crash or a broken oil line.

We, here at Mark Thomas Racing, can claim the winningest record in IHRA history. A lot of our accomplishments could not be possible without the reliability of Renewable Lubricants. I could race without Renewable Lubricants, but certainly do not want to.

Sincerely,
Mark Thomas

Thanks for great oils for our racing team, since 1999 our racing program has done nothing but move forward in performance & reliability.

In November 1998 when we were first introduced, I will admit that a vegetable oil based product seemed impossible. Then we tested the biobased lubricants in the shop, then on the track and with your willingness to follow my leads and suggestions the tests were a complete success. I felt totally confident with you and your products. Some of the tests included a Superflow Dyno 3 day engine session on a 358 Cubic Inch, 18 Degree, and 9.1 CR testing at RPMs of 5000 to 8500. Once we arrived at the track we installed the vegetable based oil and proceeded to run the next series of testing, 25-50-125 laps ranging from 5000 to 8500 RPMs. During the first 25 lap session, driver Gary Helton noticed by closely monitoring the oil pressure and temperature gauges the significant raise in oil pressure (15 PSI) and decrease in oil temperature (30 Degrees). This pressure and temperature held true through the remainder of the laps at 411 Motor Speedway. With this many laps on the engine I traveled back to the shop, disassembled the engine an inspected all bearings, valve train components and cam roller lifters (which I have found in the past take most of the wear and tear and have seen trouble when using synthetic oils). Problems were eliminated with RLI Super High Performance Racing Lubricants. At the end of my evaluation, I found no scuffing or gaulding of any kind and was completely satisfied and ready to take on the 2005 racing season with your products. The Volunteer Performance/Volunteer Chevrolet #44, along with Gary Helton behind the wheel, set a new track record in 1999 & 2004 season Southern All Star race and claimed the pole position in the Early Bird 100 held in Birmingham, Alabama. From that point on the season and race car were flawless. As I performed routine maintenance (valve springs, valve guides, roller lifters and engine bearings) on the engine, I discovered less wear and fatigue. For example, the engine bearings that I currently use are a Teflon coated type bearing (rod, main and cam bearings), normally the Teflon is either worn off or at least 75% of the coating still remained.

In addition, the roller lifters that normally show scoring by 400-600 laps, again by using your products, at the end of 800 laps there were still no signs of scoring. As the season progressed the Volunteer Performance/Volunteer Chevrolet #44 claimed 3 other pole positions, several top 5 positions and 2 event wins. When it was all said and done #44 completed over 3000 laps and secured the 1999 and 2004 Southern All Star Super Late Model championship. We also moved into the NASCAR series and won our division.

I have found that your Biobased Engine oil is the best lubricant thus far. We are now using RLI Biobased Lubricants in the engine, transmission, and differential with great success. I am excited and feel fortunate to be pioneering light weight Biobased lubricants for the racing year industry with you and your company.

Sincerely,
Robbie White

Nothing separates the men from the boys during extreme competition such as the regattas leading up to the 07 America's Cup”. And, I wanted to share with RLI an interesting report I received from the field using the specially formulated, low foaming, high performance Bio-Ultimax fluid that you formulated exclusively for BMWOracle Racing. BMWOracle has constructed one of two of their 07 Cup boats. Their chief hydraulic fabricator technician and boat builder Rolf Engleberts, had called me about converting from their MIL SPEC 83272 fluid to the special Bio-Ultimax. And, I reviewed the flushing procedure with him. Two days later Rolf called me and said they changed out the old fluid to the Bio Ultimax overnight without telling the sailing team. After the day of racing, the sailing team returned to port asking Rolf "what did you do to the hydraulic system?" Rolf replied, "what do you mean”? The grinders and pumpers all noticed less frictional operation.

When Rolf told them that all he had done was to change out the fluid to the Bio-Ultimax special formula - they could not believe it. As a foot note, I was also told that any time they spilled the Bio-Ultimax such as in changing out a fitting. it was very easy on the hands too. Reported to be almost like a hand lotion.....but very easy to clean up. I share with you this comment because the MIL SPEC oils have a notorious reputation of eating up the sails stored under deck and are difficult to clean up do to their wicking characteristics. The BMWOracle Team thanks RLI for your good work. We hope that BMWOracle Racing will bring back the Cup to where it rightfully deserves.....the USA!

Over the last four years, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has had the privilege of seeking out innovative biobased lubricants for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In our search for acceptable replacements for petroleum alternatives, we have connected with large multi-national lubricant conglomerates as well as small entrepreneurial organizations like Renewable Lubricants. We have taken their products and put them into grueling, demanding Military Specification Test protocols to determine their performance, reliability, lifecycle cost, and safety. The objective is to identify candidate products that could increase the safety of our troops, especially when they have the potential to be exposed to low flashpoint hydraulic fluid leaks in an enclosed environment, such as a tank or personnel carrier. Such conditions are an invitation for disaster and loss of human life.

It is no secret now that Renewable Lubricants has now come to the forefront as perhaps the leading contender for a product that has all of the performance and safety components that we have been searching for. While our testing and development is far from completed due to the high expectations and test demands from the Department of Defense, I am very pleased with the performance of your product, but as important, the design on the part of your organization to dedicate the required research and development resources to fine-tune and further improve your product as the test prices continues. CTC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that has no profit motive in this test process but is acting as a trusted agent for the government in this technology scouting and validation process.

Renewable Lubricants is to be congratulated on the dedication and expertise you have exhibited over the last several years in this extended validation process – and your patience to devote countless hours of research time to find the ideal product formulation of the Department of Defense. It is a testament to your expertise and dedication to this great project which has the potential to lower our reliance on foreign petroleum products, support domestic agriculture, and provide a safer environment for our men and women in uniform. Thanks for all you have done to support these efforts. We look forward to a continued relationship with your company.

PARTA gained up to 10% fuel efficiency as a result of using Bio-PowerTM Fuel Conditioners to clean up the carbon deposit problems in injectors and EGRs on their 72 vehicle fleet, as a result PARTA could see over $50,000 in savings on fuel cost this year. PARTA’s exhaust emissions have also been significantly reduced resulting in a more friendly environment for their riders.

Other fleet test shown that the use of this Biobased Technology results in an average gain of 4.1% to 13.6% fuel efficiency depending upon the size and type of engine/equipment being used.
